Spent dozens of days on the Provo 3-4 decades ago. That stretch used to have some huge browns. See or hear any stories about them while your were there?
That's a really cool area. I really want to go back. In 93 is spent 6 months in Park City. I worked in the Wasatch Mountains pretty much 7 days a week inspecting the first Kern River Pipeline. Didn't get to fish one time while I was there. The next year I spent about 4 months in Vernal. We got a day off one time so we went to the store and bought fishing gear and headed to the green river...ended up getting drunk instead of fishing.
We'll leave after I catch one more....well that one didn't count!
@highcountry - We saw some real big browns hanging out. I could not hook one and will be going back this weekend to get schooled once again. Or...I will be posting a pic of a monster brown.

@FlyFishinOK We just moved here and hope to share some more photos. Thanks for the comment. We hope to make it to the Green soon also. Too many good places to go.

If you are living in Utah, you'll have plenty of time to get those bruiser browns figured out, as well as lots of other species including tiger trout. They were introduced after I moved out of state, but have dreamed of fishing for them for years. If you are not familiar with them, they are a brookie/brown hybrid that are gorgeous and fight like crazy! Lots of Utah waters hold them.
Don't forget the monster cutthroat right up the road in Strawberry Reservoir either...
Thanks for the thoughts. We are going tomorrow to fish the Lower Provo again. Hope we have more pics to share. As for the Strawberry we have float tubes and hope to hit that soon. Lots of water and so little time. Thanks
