First fact that needs to be established is that I AM TIGHT.
With that out of the way, let me explain my situation.  I am in possession of a water craft that has a sweet running early 70's 70 hp Evinrude motor that alone is worth more than probably what I can get out of the boat, motor, and trailer as a unit.  It's worth more because it would cost a lot to just replace it or to buy a boat that has one of similar size.  Not looking for a lot of debate on it, but I have in mind buying something without a motor and transferring the Evinrude, pushing the boat off at a salvage yard or on the back lot, and selling the trailer for someone to use as a utility trailer or something.  I figure I would come off better that way.  The boat is a heap.
I'm looking to go with an aluminum boat that would be a pretty good all around boat.  More of an open floor catfishing style rather than a bass boat or a good mixture of the two.  So I have two questions. 1.  Since I'm no boat expert what brands and styles out there would handle a 70 hp motor that would match up with my desires.  2.  Anyone have a motor less boat that fits the bill they would like to unload?
