I am looking for a 1/4 inch mesh 6 ft cast net and saw the Ahi's with 1.35 lbs per foot lead weights and 1/4 in mesh for $69.99.  I know it is made in China but anyone have any experience with them or have any suggestions on a 6 ft 1/4 in mesh net in this price range?

I ordered an Pro 8 footer from Amazon and had to return it.  The lead line was not properly attached to the net causing some of the lead weights to hang low leading to constant tangling. I would not recommend, but who knows I might have just gotten a bad one.  For a few more bucks you can get a custom one.  A couple of fellow notebookers have bought from Tim Wade in Florida.  Okiefisherman posted some pics of the net he got from Tim.

Not very good nets for the money John - If I were you just get a cheap net in that size - I believe Shawnee guy has some 1/4 mesh but don't know diameter

I have a 1/4 mesh Fitec thats a ten footer for catching ghost minnows but it wasn't cheap =

I don't know anything about these guys but they have the size and mesh you want at your price range

Thanks for the input.  I could probably get by with a 5 footer as long as I can get one with 1/4 in mesh.  I want it for ghost minnows and small shad to minimize some of the net stickers.  I'll probably go ahead and just get a cheap one since I don't use the small mesh size too much anyway.  I read some reviews on the Ahi's that had the same problems with the lead line so I guess I'll pass on them for now.
