Kurt, Just wonderin' if you have heard anything about the crappie spawn at T-bird yet. My buddy went two weeks ago and caught a few deep but said they haven't moved up yet. Got any ideas about how close it might be?

I think it is currently on and maybe tailing off by now. This past week has been prime from the few reports I've heard. I caught a load last Sunday in 2 feet of water.

Just my Luck, I was at Konowa last W/E. But thanks for the response. I'll be going out tomorrow to see if you left any strays.

Be sure to look in the area around the sailboat club dock. Just E/SE of there to the rocky point was where I found a bunch, most closer to the point than the sailboat dock. I was fishing from shore. Color didn't matter, slow retrieve with 1/16oz jig and some sort of plastic wiggly tail. There is some sunken brush out in deeper water there too. Good luck.

That's what I call a fishing report! Thanks Kurt.

I didn't even have to use electricity either Falcon! I really caught them on rod & reel. And if a fish biologist can catch them, then you KNOW they are biting good!

Well maybe you're right about things slowing down. Most of the crappie we caught were hit and miss. Tried the spot you were talking about (I think) right off the end of Alemeda but no luck. South Dam and Little Axe seemed most productive and by productive I mean kinda slow. Thanks for the report.

I was actually trying to lead you north of there (Alameda). Between the marina and the hog creek boat ramp, just south of the Sandy Beach swim area in the campground. That is where the sailboat club has a building and a boat dock. Lots of good gravel/rock along that shoreline. Sorry things got slow.

Didn't know about the sailboat club, don't run in those circles, LOL. But I know exactly where you're talking about. I saw the gravel and told by buddy, it looked like a good spot, his response, "Naw that's the swimming beach" so we hit the shore around the marina. Anyway, I'm thinking about taking a day off this week and going back out to try it again. Thanks again. BBB
