Hey guys. This is my first post... although ive been following the forum for sometime. I have gained some great tips here. However I need a bit of help. Im a shore bound angler, for now, and was wondering if anyone had any tips for catching shad from the bank. Last summer I got pretty good throwing my net. Just need help tracking the little suckers down. Any help would be appreciated.  Or if someone wants to make my day and take me out on their boat lol.

Thanks for your time...

Welcome to the FNB.  It might help if we knew which area's you're targeting to fish.

I kill evenings at boomer. Its actually loaded with three pound channel cat. I make fairly frequent trips to sooner. As well as carl Blackwell. And once in awhile I shoot down to arcadia. And I've got a few honey holes on the Cimarron river as well.

I net quite a few shad at Boomer, but from a boat.  Id be happy to meet up with you sometime and we can catch some together.  Catching them from the bank will only get easier as it gets warmer.  It might just take a little walking to find them.

I have heard there are a lot of small catfish in Boomer but I have never actually put a line it.....  Just a net.

I'd love to tag along with ya. I could use a fishing buddy from time to time as well. And am more than will to pitch funds for fuel and the like

There's shad in Boomer bigger than those cats! That lake is full of huge shad and baby crappie.
The more you practice, the luckier you get.
