I can't believe I saw a Hen with 9 new born baby Turkeys yesterday. August 14th seems really late for Turkeys to be hatching out. I usually see the newborn Turkeys in early June. Is this strange for them to be hatching so late or does it have something to do with the weather finally cooling down some?????

We were laying a waterline in Bixby a few years ago, cannot remember which street it was, but one day I pulled into the job a little early and there was a big ole' tom strutting right in front of the track-ho. It was turkey season and it took all I had not to pop him upside the head with a shovel.

Between Memorial and Louisville, and 101st and 121st there are some very large flocks. Kinda cool how they are thriving right in town.

Our Turkey population has been low for the past 2 years, prior to that we were feeding 20 to 30 birds every year. Usually 3 different groups. Sometimes 5 or 6 older Toms and a few more Jakes. Really strange seeing these babies so late though. They are like pets out here. I live in the country west of Warner.
