Are there lakes in OK that have been stocked with these monster panfish? I've seen some pics but not familiar with any waters to fish for them at. Especially in southeastern Oklahoma, Lake Texoma Land?

You'll probably have better luck finding them by asking folks who own a private pond if they stock their pond with Hybrid Sunnies.

There's a pond on the property where I work that is stocked with them.  They are an absolute HOOT on an UL rig or a Fly Rod.

ODWC only stocks hybrid sunfish in small numbers.  We only stock these sunfish in ponds used for fishing clinics.  Hybrid sunfish will occur by natural crossbreeding between sunfish species in most waters where multiple species coexist.  I do know that Elmore City lake has a good hybrid sunfish population.  Other than that, I am not sure of a good hybrid lake in the SE.  I suggest calling our ODWC office in Higgins...they may be able to direct you to a good lake: 918-297-0153

I heard many years ago that Lone Chimney had hybrid bluegills or sunnies or whatever.  Anyone able to confirm??

The mountain fork and glover rivers have monster electric knife fillet size panfish if you get far enough away from the dam to the warmer waters. Biggest panfish i have ever caught anywhere
