I believe they stocked it with Hybirds in the beginning. Not sure whats happened since.

Kurt can correct me if my understanding is incorrect. I think they initially did some stocking, hybrids included, but management of the water by OKC was such that it was a waste of time and resources and there has been limited if any stocking since. It is hard to develop a fishery when OKC is continually opening the gates and draining the water.

I caught my first ever sand bass and a nice one too out the Oklahoma River. I got white&black crappie, small hybrid and cat. Give it a try

Pokinaround is correct. The river was initially stocked with hybrids and some catfish, but it is pretty much a wasted effort. The fluctuating water levels make it impossible to justify stocking a bunch of fish into a body of water that may dry up in 6 months.
