Showed up on the lake around 7 and fished until 4. Didn't have a stellar day but ended up catching 6 total. Quite a few boats on the water and the wind was blowing out of the SE.
Put in at Chicken creek and fished there in and around Snake with nothing going on so kept going down lake to Strayhorn area, Too windy to fish slow so we moved back on the east side of the lake and started down the bluff where I caught a 4 and a 2lb smallie within 10 min. of each other. Both came on camo jig with green pumpkin chigger craw for a trailer. Every boat we saw had someone throwing the A-rig and recent reliable reports have established good success with this. Fininshed up the day in Chicken Creek and caught 4 more in about 10 minutes all on a chigger craw rigged on a jighead [img][/img]

Nice. We don't see many of those on here unless they hit someone's shad. By the way, I'm fixing to sit down to a meal of crappie. That's all the old river would offer me today, but dang I'm tired and hungry. Sunday was beautiful.

That's a lake that I'd like to try. There are just too many lakes that are closer to me and I never seem to fit it in to my rotation... I need to just plan a trip and go.
