Kurt, there's been some chatter on another page about the Hybrid limit on Sooner going to 5 fish per day for the entire lake starting Jan. 1, 2013. Could you confirm or deny this statement? I could not find any new rules on the ODWC website. Thanks.

Sorry for my delay Steve, I have been doing walleye work at Foss and Fort Supply.

I will try to call Bill and get an answer for you.

OK, here's the official word... There will be no change to the Sooner Lake hybrid limits in 2013. The only changes in regs for 2013 are the striped bass limits which will go to 5 daily statewide (Texoma exempt). Stripers on Sooner will have a minimum length limit of 20 inches beginning January 2013. But no change in hybrid limits guys and gals.

Fishdude, I am working on a project to determine if stocking fry or fingerling walleye works best in the long run. I have been working on Foss, Fort Supply, Hefner, and Spavinaw. No results yet.

Kurt, Sounds good. Might have to buy a 6 cylinder truck so I can make the runs to those Western lakes. Spavinaw have walleye? I have not picked up on chatter about that.
Appreciate the hours you are spending. You probably eat it up. Sounds fun.

Spavinaw has walleye...Also, Shell Lake has saugeye, and they are starting to get big enough to be interesting...if you live in the Tulsa area, it might be worth checking out...
