I found out I need a special fitting for my Grease Gun to Grease my supposedly Easy Lube Ranger Boat Trailer.  Special Order item from Ranger is $28.00.

Anyone know if these Needle Fittings are Universal or on sale locally at Parts Stores etc?

Ranger originally told me I could use Zerk Fittings, so I ordered some from them, but they are waaaaaay to big for that little hole.

Thanks for the help

Thanks Ed, I did check Google and there are all different kinds of needle adapters for grease guns, also tapered tip type, etc.  Did you have a Ranger Trailer and did you remove the pin from the end of Spindle, plus block the holes to allow grease to extend thru the Spindle and come out the back holes for the rear bearing?  I wish Ranger had just used Zerk fittings.

Thanks Again.

Kansas Basser,

Funny you asked about a picture.  I had 2 Pics on my phone and just deleted them off 5 minutes ago.  I could go take another, but I replaced by Bearings, Seal and Races yesterday.  I went ahead and bought a Needle Adapter from O'Reilly's that comes to a tapered point which seemed like the most logical to use on my Spindle.  After repacking bearings, etc, I put everything back together and was able to get grease to flow thru the center of the Spindle and push all the way to the front like its supposed too.  It is a little hard for 1 person to apply  pressure to the Needle and pump grease, so my Son helped me and it worked ok, except some grease did escape from the point of contact.  The problem with the other type with the Needle that inserts into the hole would be that the Pin holding the Castle Nut on would stop the Needle from entering far enough.  Anyway, I believe I found the right method.   Any more thoughts??????

Thanks for the help!
