Old bait tank failed beyond repair. Got new 50 gallon grayline. Have removed cooler flip seat, new tank will go in its place. Question is how to mount-secure it. New tank has solid lid. Not to keen on drilling holes in new tank but want something more than weight of tank on rubber pad holding it in. All ideas appreciated. Thanks for replies in advance.

What type of boat do you have? Hopefully someone with the same type of boat can lend specific expertise. I have an 1986 Falcon center console. It came with a small ice chest seat with a back. I had to cut the fiberglass opening three inches wider just to get it in. I ended up using a tie down strap around the wooden planks that hold the seat backing to the floor. Looks a bit redneck but it's solid for sure.

Tony might be able to give you some ideals on how to keep it in the boat. Sorry Tony couldn't resist. I think I would use some plastic to make some corners for it and maybe a strip along front and back. That should keep it in place with a little water when not in use. When I had my Bluewave built I gave them a footprint of my 50gal Grayline. They made a plastic ring on the floor for it to set in(about a 1/2" high). The ring keeps it from moving around and few inches of water in it, if just transporting without any bait.
I don't believe in Miracles, I rely on them.

Did Tony loose a Greyliner? Really?

Actually I have blown a grayline outta the boat - but luckily saw it when it happened - at 75 MPH meeting a big truck you get a lot of sucking action Dave is giving me a hard time over Ice Chest tank I lost a month back -

Thanks guys. Dave that was what I was thinking might work. If it works in your Blue Wave should work in mine. We will see how good my jig saw and sanding skills are. I too thought Tony would have some words of wisdom from personal experience. I assume if he had a similar setup when his got sucked out he would have nixed the idea.
