I'm hitting Cedar lake in SE Oklahoma for some camping, fishing and fall Color with my family and friends this weekend.  Everyone know's there are some monster Bass in Cedar Lake, but since I've got the kids with me, I'm thinking about chasing some channel cats.  The stocking reports look like ODWC has been putting them in there for a while, so I'm optimistic.  We'll be fishing from the Yaks and from the shore.  I'll have my Elite 7 DSI on my yak, so I should be able to find structure/cover/specific depths etc.

Anyone have any tips for targeting cats with the Kids at Cedar lake this weekend?

Don't know about the cats but the lake has lots of huge Green Sunfish and Bluegill that will keep the kids busy if you can't find the cats.

Never been there, but if it has a good channel population and if the weather produces some rain as expected just right out from the left of the uplake campground should hold some fish.  Just a shot in the dark though looking at the map.  I've been catching channels pretty shallow recently on Hudson.
