Looks like I have to mount 3 transducers to the back of the boat. I don't want to drill more holes into the aluminum. I'm thinking about filling in the current holes with braze and then mounting 3/4" or 1" thick starboard to each side of the transome to mount the transducers to.

Anyone do this or offer some tips? Or am I going about this all wrong? I have the two "normal" transducers and the SS trandsucer to mount.

Of course I'm assuming I can run at two different frequencies to prevent interference. I'm pretty sure two Units cannot be run off of the same transducer. If I am incorrect I'd be thrilled. I have 2 HDS 5's.

Help?
Thanks,
Blaine

You can network them together to read regular sonar 200 Khz. and up to three Structure Scan units from 2 transducers.

Thanks for the response Steve. Networking the LSS seems pretty straight forward. 1 LSS box with 3 Ethernet out plugs. The directions also tell me to use starboard between aluminum and the transducer. Anyone know a good place to get this?

The only place in those directions I see reference to the skimmer transducer is under "Downscan" where the two transducers have to be within 1' of each other. I did find in the normal HS installation instructions (not SS) that I can hook them together via NMEA 0183 wiring. But does this only send data for 1 function like GPS waypoints, or will it share "all" information such as sonar?

Thanks again,
Blaine

I do not know with certainty that it is the same material but believe it to be. We just went to a restaurant supply and bought one of those white cutting boards. They had different thicknesses and sizes. Price seemed reasonable. Worked fine.

That's a great idea. I don't know of any restaurant suppliers close by here, but maybe I can order one online. Thanks.
