Anybody have an idea how much it would cost to have the floor/carpet replaced in a 1991, 20' dual consul Stratos boat. The front and back decks seem fine but the lower floor is rotting out around the floor drain and getting worse by the the month. I don't know if I want to tackle this job with out finding out about how much cost is involved to let a pro do it.
Also, any ideas where I should take it to around the OKC area?
Your help and ideas will be appreciated!

really depends honestly, if the lower floor is rotting there is a good chance the stringers are damaged also, could literally be cheaper to get a new hull

I think I'd rip the old carpet up and see what kind of damage you're dealing with around the drains...could be all that's needed is to cut out the bad and install bigger drains.

I'm currently finishing the floor in an 83 glastron. I had to replace the entire floor and two stringers. Built a front deck, water proofed and liquid foamed the floor and I bet I have some where close to $500 bucks in materials. If you want to go with fiberglass and need to do a whole floor and want to do it right, get out your check book. I did multiple coats of lifetime waterproofer on mine. I figured when the floor needs replaced again I will be ready for a new boat and this boat will be ready for the bone yard.

Thanks guys, I forgot to check back last week about responses to this post. I probably was too worried about how bad it might sound.
I like Ol Slick's idea about starting w/ visual observation to see how bad the damage is. I could feel the rot a few inches around the drain but I'll have to take up the carpet to really get an idea. Just praying it's not in the stringers. Thanks again, BBB
